The command vehicle (ELW) was purchased in 2003. This vehicle transports the commander to the scene and helps him to coordinate the operations. Various maps, radios, reference works and other guides are stowed away for this purpose. At the deployment site, the radio link to the central control center is maintained via this vehicle. If necessary, additional help can be requested or information relevant to the operation can be exchanged, for example, by telephone, fax or the Internet. In addition, the vehicle is equipped with a first aid kit (First Responder).
